Kraftmaid

I spent $17k on Krapmaid natural cherry kitchen cabinets, large pantry and sprung for all of the extras during a complete kitchen renovation. The plastic brackets in the pantry break every year and are a constant source of grief. Almost every cabinet door has split and Krapmaid sends a replacement. Unfortunately it's just a matter of time till the replacements split, so now I just reglue them.

Krapmaid is supposed to be a good company, but their products are garbage and their outer clear coat wears quickly. I would never buy another Krapmaid product.

NEVER buy Kraftmaid. 100% of my order was damaged and they are refusing to replace and/or reimburse me for the cabinets. The cabinets have paint splotches, uneven paint job, cracked joints, and various other defects. On top of all of that their customer services sucks! Going back and forth with Lowes for the last 6 months and now I was told if I wanted a better paint job I should have purchased the cheaper MDF line???? I plan to put this review up anywhere on the internet I can find asking for a review of Kraftmaid! DO NOT BUY KRAFTMAID!!

Thoroughly dissatisfied with Kraftmaid. We ordered a complete kitchen in March 2021 from Lowe's in Niles, OH. Told 6-8 week leadtime. We assumed that it would probably go a bit longer. Didn't get delivered until 14 weeks later (June 21st). Only to be told by the delivery driver that our 18" drawer set was "backordered". Kraftmaid didn't tell us, the poor delivery guy had to give the news. Called to ask when we'd get it? They said a week or so. Waited and waited. Called again. Told it should be July 21. My husband and I took a week off work, gutted our entire kitchen. July 21st came and went with no drawers. Called back- told July 27th. 27th came and went, no drawers. Have called customer service several times to be told they don't know why it's not coming and things could be back ordered for quality control..... which also can't be true because 2 of our cabinets have cracks in the door (we are going to wood putty them and use the stain pen ourselves rather than risk sending them back and not having those cabinets either). So now we have a gutted kitchen, only part of the new cabinets installed because the drawers are in the middle. Can't get our countertop people to make a template for our counters because they have to be installed first. The sink base can't be installed because it's AFTER the drawers. They SAY backorders are first in line for production, but that can't possibly be true because that would mean they haven't produced anything since June- which I know is a lie! It's literally a plain maple cabinet with Kaffe stain- nothing special about it at all. We intentionally chose a "semi-custom" option with only a few door styles and finishes so it would be easier to get. No special wood, no special finishes. Just a regular old, run of the mill 18" drawer, and we LITERALLY can't get it and they have no information on when we will.

$18K and sixteen weeks, and not kitchen.. Placed my order in March. Order shipped June 7. Dozens of phone calls, I got a delivery window of July 9. No show no call. Dozens of phone calls. Got delivery on July 20. It's short one, one wrong cabinet, one too big. Rush replacements expected to take no less than four weeks. Cabinet, tile, flooring, appliance installs all delayed. We are camping out in our own house and have been all summer. No end in sight. Making food in a microwave on a foldout table in a bedroom. Washing dishes and making coffee in the bathroom. Going outside to get to the old refrigerator in the garage. That's what $18K and sixteen weeks of waiting has bought me. More waiting. Completely unacceptable.
