Avoid WoodMode! We are a luxury spec home builder in the Seattle area and had WoodMode do all the cabinets in a house.

Here are the issues we have:

A. There have been a massive amount of errors for the entire cabinetry package. We have never experienced this from any other vendor (Belmont, Crystal, etc...). I have outlined them below:

1. Master middle cabinet height is 27" while all others are 25"—needs to get remade.
2. Laundry cabinet with sink depth should be 24" and it is 21" (note that this cabinet also does not have paint on left panel facing the laundry machines, it needs to get remade).
3. Kitchen cabinet to right of range is not plumb/level. (needs to get remade)
4. Kitchen island needs to have finish paint on the ends of the cabinets that face dishwasher on two sides.
5. Fillers short for all 3 upstairs bathrooms.
6. For all secondary baths the lower most drawer face (left and right) is not lined up with the other drawer faces. This is because the face themselves was made short and not an adjustable item.
7. Missing door to refrigerator cabinets.
8. Kitchen wall perimeter missing servo motors added to the Aventos.
9. I checked the order sheet and for all drawers they are Tipon blumotion. Everything has Tipon, but the kitchen drawers do not have blumotion.

B. Issues were first reported to Wood-Mode on Wed 2/27 and the company cannot give my distributor any type of ETA or status update.

This is shocking that we can’t get dates at all. We need cabinets to do countertop slab and tiling around. Vendors have to come back to the site multiple times and the whole project is halted. This is costing our company over $20,000 in damages and growing due to their negligence.

I would advise everyone to look elsewhere.

Sadly, our recent experiences with Wood-Mode are consistent with this review. Our order was also riddled with excessive errors, creating additional inconvenience and project costs. Unfortunately, our Wood-Mode kitchen cabinet order was not completed accurately until March 2019, five months after installation began. In two previous home renovations, not one problem with Wood-Mode cabinet orders or installation. As a result, we were unaware that there is zero customer service at Wood-Mode. This time, more than 1/3 of our kitchen cabinets were built in error or missing. Distributor blamed Wood-Mode for complicated ordering and production processes. Regardless of the source of the errors, Wood-Mode made no effort to quickly rectify the problems when contacted by the distributor. Regional rep was also ineffective in expediting re-orders. WM never reached out to us and did not respond to telephone calls or a letter FedExed to HQ. Took nearly five months to complete installation - some cabinets were built wrong twice! Particularly distressing was that the distributor had required payment in full for cabinets prior to installation, so we had no leverage and neither distributor nor WM had an incentive to complete the order. There are many excellent custom cabinet makers with a comparable product at a lower price point - we should have read recent reviews before loyally ordering Wood-Mode for the third time.
