I ordered Thomasville kitchen cabinets from Home Depot @6 years ago and mine still look great. I don't notice anything peeling or anything like that. I have one lower narrow cabinet door near the stove my large dog jumped on and it bent a little but was easily adjusted back no problem.
I have had great experiences with the women designers at Home Depot and that's what keeps me going back. In my area, smaller, lower priced cabinet sellers are all men and lack patience and understanding and send in workers that are often also rough around the edges, to put it mildly. This is probably would be different in a more urban areas where there is more competition.
Clearly if you have the money you'd go for more top of the line, but in this price range my experience was very good.
