We bought American Woodmark cabinets at Home Depot 11 years ago for a kitchen expansion and I installed them myself. I am no carpenter, but an experienced do-it-yourselfer. The cabinets had one minor issue that I repaired myself in order to keep the project on track. We recently decide to upgrade the existing kitchen to match our expansion and bought the same cabinets with solid wood natural maple doors. I have been extremely pleased with the quality, workmanship and service, but most importantly the durability and I have 11 years of use to prove it. The only major problem is the soft close drawers. It is a faulty design that keeps coming apart and this is why I rated the custom options lower. I had to modify them myself before the granite covered them up and will keep my fingers crossed that my mod works. People on this site are quite critical so I thought you should hear from me.
