A lot has changed since COVID. Diamond keeps sending me cabinets with manufacturing defects, for one of the cabinets I'm on the 5th one and it is still not acceptable. The associates at the assembly plant clearly don't care. They recently spun off from a larger company and I don't know how they will survive. I've even had the local Diamond sales rep to my house who admitted the quality was bad, reordered them and assured me the plant quality people would inspect to make sure it was good... well the last one I got was full of dings, the finish has inconsistent dark hues in it, and there are huge gaps where parts come together... they simply did it as quickly as possible and don't care. The only thing they make good are the Diamond Now cabinets, if you just want plain cabinets. Nicks, scratches, peeling edges, cracks, drawers don’t line up, etc. we started our kitchen project last August. It is now February, and it’s still not finished. I’ve spent more time trying to get things right, but it’s been a losing battle. The most expensive kitchen remodel I’ve ever had, and sadly, the worst. It looks incredibly cheap. I hope that by writing this review, I’ll have saved others from having to go through this awful and expensive and stressful experience. Go to Menards and check out their Klearvue line. These were ordered in early June with an October ship date. It is December and we are still awaiting the correct cabinet doors to arrive. They shipped these twice so far and were wrong or defective. They already replaced 7 door cabinets because they only were primed and not finished. Their customer service rep repeated excuses about how busy they were and covid crap.She was insulted because I called to complain! Fact is if they had any quality control these never would have been shipped in the first place. They are so busy because they tie up manufacturing producing replacement cabinets. They have no idea the cost of poor quality. If they did a cost analysis on every step taken by every employee to replace and ship it would frighten them. Nevermind the customer dissatisfaction and word of mouth about them. Their dealers hide and don't answer phones because of the problems. One of the cabinets was damaged and it has been MISSION IMPOSSIBLE to get a replacement because the cabinet I need to replace is the one size that is only available through Lowe's website. It has been out of stock since early spring and unfortunately we had already hung all the other cabinets. I contacted the company that makes them (Master Brand). Beazer installed Masterbrand white kitchen cabinets in kitchen and baths. I am 3 years in and noticed that one of my kitchen cabinet doors has what looks like a huge air bubble between the top layer (which I just heard was a laminate and the base layer (which I am now assuming is particle board). Since my home warranty has expired, I contacted Masterbrand who told me that I have a 5 year limited warranty. I am trying to get someone out here to take a look at this cabinet. From what I hear from homeowners here, quite a few people have had the same issue and have had to replace the cabinet doors. I was told that you have to be very careful not to expose the cabinets to any kind of heat and humidity because the laminate will melt, shrink, warp---I find that very interesting as these are in a kitchen where you have such things as an oven, stove, microwave, dishwasher etc. that will ultimately produce some heat and moisture. Why would you make a kitchen cabinet that would not stand up to a normal kitchen environment. This is absolutely ludicrous! I am just so upset. Never thought that after buying a brand new home, I would face the possibility of having to install brand new cabinets. The finish on all the cabinet doors and drawers in uneven at best with scratches, smudges, and dirt that will not wipe off. Some the box interiors are fraying. We have settled but not moved in yet, and the cabinets already look cheap and used. We are trying to work with Pulte to have these looked at by the Masterbrand rep, but no one has come yet, and it's been seven weeks already. First promised mid November, so contractor lined up, then moved to mid December, so contractor changed. Told cabinets would be in week of December 21st so I cut my visit with my grandchildren short to fly home 2,000 miles because cabinets were coming (missed Christmas with family) Then, I find out from Lowe's rep (and Lowes is another cluster of a "pass the buck" mess) that my cabinets had not even went into production because someone on the manufacturer side messed up. I ordered them in October !!! They put a rush on them to come mid January. Nothing but problems, different door sizes. Nothing lines up even when doors adjusted. Lowes ordered replacements and still problems so this is now end of February and my kitchen I ordered in October is still not finished. Masterbrand would not do anything and I ended up losing my contractor to another job for 2 months and had to find someone at the last minute. Lowes contractors were also booked. Masterbrand REFUSED to ACKNOWLEDGE their fault in this issue, or make any compensations for everything I went through. There were problems from beginning to end. There were 8 cabinets doors that needed to be replaced. There were dents, scratches, paint drips and bubbled paint areas. There were incorrect door handles sent. The gaps between the doors are extremely wide so you can see right into the cabinets. When some of the replacement doors arrived after a month, there were chips and dents and were in worse condition than the originals. Don't waste your time with ordering from them. BAIT AND SWITCH!!!! We searched and searched for a solid wood (no particle board) bathroom vanity and we found one we liked at Lowe's ("Diamond" brand, "Ballantyne" series). We looked the cabinet over really well, and after determining that it was built out of solid wood and plywood, we decided to purchase not only the vanity, but a matching mirror and small storage cabinet in the same series. Spent over $900.00 for the set that day. When we got the vanity home, we opened the box, and were shocked to find the cabinet was built out of particle board. Went back to Lowe's and confirmed that both display units were built from plywood, with no particle board anywhere on the vanity. I took some pics and called the manufacturer, and voiced my extreme concern that what they displayed and what they sold were 2 entirely different products. A call today from the manufacturer (Masterbrand Cabinets) confirmed that they are, in fact, not plywood, but cheap particle board (really? No kidding!) and that there was nothing they could do to make it right. Both display units were of course, damaged, so that is not an option. Now our bathroom project is on hold while we start all over again looking for a quality piece of furniture, not the normal junk found in the big box stores. I will post the same review on Lowe's &, Menard's websites and any other sites that carry this product.
