<![CDATA[Canyon Creek Cabinet Co. - kitchencabinetsreviews.com]]> https://kitchencabinetsreviews.com/ <![CDATA[Canyon Creek Cabinet Co.: This is not the cabinet company it once was..]]> https://kitchencabinetsreviews.com/reviews/discussions/review.html?id=1167 https://kitchencabinetsreviews.com/reviews/discussions/review.html?id=1167 I went with Canyon Creek for my kitchen cabinets because they were local and had a good reputation. Given my experience, I have to advise against anyone using them right now. They are having horrible quality control and production issues and one out of every two of my cabinets had something wrong with them. As the contractor and I unboxed them, the joke became that they only thing that they got right was the color. Some were minor issues (ex. paint) but most were head-scratching/how-did-this get-shipped errors like cabinets built upside down or doors mounted on the wrong side. There were cabinets that were supposed to be drawers had doors. The shaker front drawers had slab fronts. The Upper shelf bracket holes were drilled at different levels (a real issue since they were open/glass front). The list was long but what was even more disppointing is how they responded to the errors. We were told we could reject them and wait an additional 12 weeks for new cabinets (which would have resulted in pushing all our sub-contractors and the project in total back - mind you we were a full remodel and down to the studs at this point) or they would just send us replacement parts to install ourselves. After a price analysis, I decided the labor of the reworking was cheaper than waiting 12 weeks and losing my sub-contractors and having to delay the project which meant extending rental agreements, etc. Little did I know that it would mean that I would be waiting an additional 6 MONTHS for the random drawer fronts and panels and components to come trickling in without rhyme, reason or any communication from Canyon Creek. All we were told when we emailed or called was there were "production issues". And because they required 100% of the payment up front, there was no recourse to hold back final payment. It honestly breaks my heart to write a review like this for a local company that had such a good reputation with such solid product in the past. I have come to understand talking with some insiders that they are under "new leadership" and have automated their production so it is not the hand-crafted cabinets of pre-2020. Buyers beware! ]]> Fri, 19 Jan 2024 17:15:08 +0000 <![CDATA[Canyon Creek Cabinet Co.: mediocre at at a premium price]]> https://kitchencabinetsreviews.com/reviews/discussions/review.html?id=1047 https://kitchencabinetsreviews.com/reviews/discussions/review.html?id=1047 Nice painted finish on this last batch, Good hardware. The particle board boxes leave much to be desired. Far too costly for particle board. Lead time was stupidly slow, 15-16 weeks is untenable. Dimensions on a couple of the cabinets were off far enough to warrant removing staples used for construction and planing down the entire width of the back. Their refrigerator end panels are a poorly designed affair. The designers should visit custom shops once in a while. The repair/touch up kit was ludicrous, the paint pen was completely dry, the putty stick the wrong color by several shades, unusable. For the price of custom cabinets, these are in the mediocre category. For the record, I've been in the business for several decades and installed hundreds of modular and custom cabinets, installation should not involve remodeling or rebuilding cabinets to meet specified dimensions. They do look nice and the hardware functions well. The ol' Texas saying that sometimes you have to paint the pig has some merit. ]]> Thu, 02 Dec 2021 15:35:17 +0000 <![CDATA[Canyon Creek Cabinet Co.: Canyon Creek cabinets]]> https://kitchencabinetsreviews.com/reviews/discussions/review.html?id=456 https://kitchencabinetsreviews.com/reviews/discussions/review.html?id=456 I have been dealing with Canyon Creek for years. I buy direct from a sales rep. He has been there for everything that I need taken care of. If there is ever a problem my sales rep and I just make it right. They do not install cabinets and they are not carpenters, they just sell. Being a carpenter I can fix or solve anything that comes up with cabinets. I have installed lots of cabinets of different name brands and have had an issue with everyone one of the cabinet companies I have worked with. And have worked with the all the cabinet companies to solve the problems and make the client happy. There are always an problem/issue. It is construction. Canyon Creek has been good to me and my long time clients. ]]> Sat, 07 May 2016 19:58:19 +0000 <![CDATA[Canyon Creek Cabinet Co.: Repeat Customer]]> https://kitchencabinetsreviews.com/reviews/discussions/review.html?id=374 https://kitchencabinetsreviews.com/reviews/discussions/review.html?id=374 We've used Canyon Creek cabinets in several rooms of our home and are very pleased with how they look. The quality of. The VG Fir cabinet doors is very inconsistent.. Some are dark and some are very light in color which makes a poor visual for the overall look of the kitchen. The poorest part of your quallity is your lack of any kind of response to correc the issuu. Terry, the representative has not been helpful except to make excuses as what can't be done because you won't guarantee the outcome. I use them for several reasons, the big one is that is located within 20 miles of our office. Customer service is fairly good. The best part is that I have very seldom had to call on the customer service so that tells you that we don't have problems with them. It would be great if they had a bigger line to pick from for my clients. The only reason we use other cabinet manufactures are for custom products or for different door styles. We've tried other semi custom shops and Canyon Creek is hard to beat with what they offer as far as a semi custom shop. They do put out a consistent product and the finishes are nice. The factory is pretty well automated. They have a lot of the upgrade features. I would recommend Canyon Creek ]]> Wed, 12 Jan 2011 08:32:04 +0000
