Do not buy these cabinets. We live in waterfront property where these cabinets were installed. Not once during our buying process did they mention that their cabinets will warp, and they were well aware we live on the water. Decora replaced some doors, but they warped again. After the second time, they refused to replace any of them saying that humidity is the problem. We keep the temperature between 68-72 degrees, and the Timberlake cabinets we installed in more humid rooms (laundry, bathroom) did not warp. These cabinets are cheaply made, do not take your chances buying them.

Poor Finish. Drawers don't line up. Not worth the money. Ordered from a big box store. Cabinets came with wrong size fillers and poor finish on painted cabinet. The fillers could have been the big box store mistake in ordering but when cabinets of one size are in the same order of a filler of a different size...shouldn't someone at least ask why? Never heard from Rep about the finish but they promised to refund the price of the cabinet. Went to local paint store and had them match it and did it myself. First and last time I order cabinets from this company.

I purchased my cabinets though a box store and I have asked for a full return of my money. $16,100. I ordered my cabinets in bright white, shaker style, and in maple. It took normal time to receive my order approximately 6-7 weeks. Order was delivered in sealed and undamaged boxes. Great! Wrong! Now my dilemma. I started to open the boxes and I started noticing very noticeable imperfections in the finish of some of the cabinets and panels that I was installing. It really looks as if they never prepped the wood with primer or painted the cabinets with enough paint. Did I mention the rough areas too. Sand paper is cheap! There were even several cabinets that had chip damage that could not be repaired. This had to occur at the factory prior to shipping for all the delivery boxes were in great shape and couldn't find any of the large chips in the boxes. Low and behold these several cabinets and panels were reordered and now after 3-4 times and 11 weeks later plus a visit from the company representative, who swore he make it right, a third cabinet came with a 3/16 bow and poorly sprayed doors and side where the maple wood color is bleeding through. They obviously have a finish problem. The company representative wanted to send a furniture refinisher to repaint the sides of the NOT SO BAD cabinets. As I write this I have still not received all my replacement cabinets. Bottom line is something is going on in Jasper, ID. whether its a labor issue, supervision problem or quality control issue. It's a shame! looks like a decently built cabinet except for some cabinet frames coming bowed or crowned. Some times that happens with a natural product like wood but there is no excuses for a poorly sprayed cabinet. When a customer complains 2,3,4 times and the complaints are recognized by a company representative you would think they could immediately address the issues but that's not the case for Decora even after numerous attempts. I would avoid! Maybe others had better luck with a different color. White is most definitely a problem child for this company.

The construction quality of these cabinets is terrible. The bottoms of two cabinets were not flat and had a crown in the center (center of bottom was higher than each side). The front frame of another cabinet was not connected properly. The middle vertical portion was bowed out which now causes the cabinet door to bang in the middle even though there are rubber bumpers at the top and bottom of the door. The corner braces of another cabinet were not glued/nailed properly and were either not connected at their locations or were barely connected. The cabinets were painted white and I had to return countless trim items because of the bad paint job. I am a detailed person but I am only pointing out the obvious items. I never thought I would have to inspect the cabinet construction before installation. I will never buy a MasterBrand cabinet again as evidenced by terrible construction and quality control.

We are in the process of remodeling our kitchen. Our Decora cabinets are installed, but we are waiting on 2 upper cabinet replacements. The upper painted maple cabinets had several door finish marrings and a minor splitting problem on the trim. There was no problem whatsoever with the stained lower cabinets, which are made from alder. We love the look and construction of the Decora cabinets. The interiors are made from all maple plywood and finished. The soft close doors and drawers come standard as did the maple interiors. They are as close to custom made as you can get in any other semi-custom cabinet, which means they didn't charge extra for any augmentation (as low as 1/8" & up increments) in dimensions like another brand of popular big box store cabinets. Decora and our cabinet designer have been great to work with. They weren't nearly as expensive as the brands sold by XXX and XXX. In my opinion they are a better quality and construction than KraftMaid, Diamond or Thomasville that are sold at these stores. I highly recommend Decora cabinets. We did a whole huge 21'x15' kitchen with an 8'foot island for a total under $10,000. I think that is exceptional competitive pricing!

I bought Decora back in August and I went thru XXXXX in New York. I loved the doors I got the Bradyon Manor in the Jasmine. The doors were almost seamless which was hard to find when it comes to wood. From the designer to the quality it was a pleasant experience. The one thing is the molding came broken but the replaced it immediately it was great. Would definitely recommend the product. The price was a little high to do it once you have to spend money.

I've sold Decora cabinets for over 15 years as a private dealer & I feel I have to address these reviews.

Decora is a very nice cabinet line with outstanding customer service & a fantastic reputation in the industry. Their finishes are the best you can get (solvent based conversion varnish) & the quality control is normally excellent.

The other reviews all have several things in them that concern me. 1st off if your buying your cabinets from one of the big box stores your selling yourself short. Right off the top you're going to pay 10-25% more for your cabinets than you will at a private dealer. That's because the price they pay for the cabinets is substantially higher than Decora charges a private dealer. Secondly HD's Decora selection is a watered down version of what a private dealer has access to & finally your "designer" was probably selling hardware before they took their 2 week "design" class. A private dealer designs kitchen for a living oftentimes for many many years & knows what their doing.

The review that speaks about the delivery being late, finished sides being incorrect, micro cabinet being the wrong size (designer should have checked micro specs prior to ordering the cabinet) etc. those issues are on the designer period. Decora sends you what you order. They also send a confirmation to be checked off prior to production to ensure there aren't any mistakes. Shame on the designer that sends in an order & doesn't check their confirmation! Additionally their lead times are rock solid. If I call for an estimated delivery date they have always been accurate to within a couple of days either way.

Lastly if you are experiencing finish issues that can only mean your using cleaners on your cabinets. With a conversion varnish all you need is some very mild soapy water & a soft rag. Abrasives, chemicals & heavy cleaners will wreck the finish & void your warranty. That being said most private dealers will take care of that as a warranty issue & just educate you on what to use to clean them.

Lastly to the reviewer that complained of warping & swelling after "over time splashing of water" all I can say is over time water will wear down a rock! We're talking about wood & extended exposure to moisture is going to cause it to, yep you guessed it...warp & swell!

We ordered DECORA kitchen through XXXX in October 2011. Considering it is Thomasville Company, we thought very highly of the product and paid a small fortune but little did we know about the nightmare ahead.

Delivery of the cabinets was late. One main cabinet housing the microwave and oven was of incorrect size, two of the cabinet doors arrived in broken condition. Almost all the door (over 20 doors) had big gaps at the joints. Replacement were sent, some of which were worst than before. It appears to me that either DECORA has no quality control or these doors were shipped from China. There is no way some of the doors could have passed the basic inspection from 10 ft away. They were so bad.

To cut the long story short, after multiple replacements, we finally received all the doors (not perfect) in May, 2012. We have garage full of defective doors and cabinets, which we need to dispose off as DECORA did not even bother to collect their garbage to analyze the cause. I have no idea how they can make money if they can stay in business if had to replace each door three times!

Absolute nightmare for over 6 months. I wish I could post the pictures. XXXX people were very supportive and did what they could rectify the situation.

DO NOT EVEN DREAM ABOUT BUYING DECORA KITCHEN CABINETS.

After we opened the boxes from Decora, the nightmare begun. We ordered about 25 cabinets (paid a fortune for them), we found damaged parts, wrong color (Arlington instead of Teaberry), wrong size, wrong outside finishes (suppose to be painted whiled it was unfinished), missing tray divider, missing utensil organizer, much cheaper substitute for Lazy Susan and Spice Rack, etc. The project is delayed big time. Anything that can be possibly or impossibly wrong went wrong! I have been asking for a refund, as of now, I have not got a penny back yet.

Please be careful buying Decora cabinets. I just refinished my kitchen with Decora cabinets and the issues with cabinets never end. Decora has been good with sending replacement doors but they do not cover the installation costs for replacement doors. The bead design on the door kept popping out. For me, I'll never pick Decora again for cabinets. I am one big unhappy customer.

I've had these cabinets for about 12 years and they have not held up well. The doors are not solid wood and over time splashing of water has caused warping and swelling. Because of the unevenness of the surface, they can't be painted or refaced so there is no option but to replace. The paint wore away rather quickly on corners and around knobs and pulls, and is easily stained. The pull-out garbage container has had to have the tracks repaired numerous times. One by one, the door hinges have popped out a small, broken-off piece of plastic and once that happens the doors will not stay closed. We have had to put magnets on all of the doors over the years.

If you like to redo your kitchen every few years, these cabinets look great at first and there are many custom options. If you're like me and try to avoid major, expensive home projects as long as you can, look elsewhere. Other people have kitchen cabinets a lot older than mine that have held up much better. Solid wood is the way to go - don't let anyone tell you that the alternatives are just as good. I had to learn the hard way.
